Florence, the most populous city in Boone County, unveiled its 2023 Annual Economic Development Report, which detailed the growth of its business community.

Released on Feb. 2, the report identified multiple development projects that were either completed, undergoing constriction or slated to begin. In total, Florence is home to over 2,000 businesses, according to the report.

“Our city flourishes by its welcoming and business-friendly atmosphere; we continue to grow in manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, e-commerce, and tech sectors,” Florence Mayor Julie Aubuchon wrote in a press release.

The report highlighted 23 business development projects that were completed in Florence over the past year:
