Former Holmes High School basketball coach and assistant principal, Jason Booher, has been named assistant principal and athletics director at Pikeville High School nine days after resigning with the Bulldogs.

Booher has ties to the Pikeville area, including winning the 2010 state championship with Shelby Valley High School in Pikeville and was named coach of the year in both 2009 and ’10. His wife was raised in the area and also has a job there as the school’s occupational therapist. The name of Pikeville’s football stadium is named after Booher’s father in-law, Hillard Howard, who won three football state championships at the school.

Booher led the Bulldog basketball team for four seasons, compiling a 104-27 record, and won the 2013 Ninth Region Tournament. He is replaced by former assistant and one-time Covington Catholic head basketball coach, Mike Listerman.
