A bridge overlay project, which began Tuesday, is expected to continue over the next two months, according to a recent announcement from Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 6.

The work will be extensive: “The project will include the bridge overlays on the flyover and ground ramps at the I-71/75 and I-275 interchange. Crews will be milling, replacing joints, hydro blasting and pouring the overlay. This work is vital to ensuring motorists can safely use the bridges for years to come,” said KYTC District 6 in the announcement.

The following areas will be affected:

  • I-275 westbound & eastbound
  • I-71/75 northbound & southbound
  • I-275 westbound to I-71/75 southbound
  • I-275 eastbound to I-71/75 northbound

For more details on the project, including the schedule for lane closures, visit KYTC District 6’s website.

Note: This project is distinct from the bridge inspection that will also occur on the same roads.
