Gov. Andy Beshear remains the most popular Democratic governor in the country, even amongst the state’s Republican voters, according to a poll released Monday.
The Morning Consult Poll showed that 64% of Kentucky voters approve of Beshear, with 32% disapproving, according to the survey conducted from April 1 to June 30. Forty-nine percent of Republicans approve of Beshear’s job.
“Beshear wins approval from roughly half of the state’s Republicans, making him the country’s most popular Democratic governor with GOP voters,” the release from Morning Consult said.
