Newport on the Levee’s yet-to-open food hall has announced that three of its four spots have been filled by local restaurants.
Galley on the Levee, a micro food hall and bar intended to open later this year, will feature Los Tacos Hermanos, Four Mile Pig and Zaria Italian Eats upon opening. Its fourth space is still available.
“We are excited to partner with these well-regarded chefs, who bring their knowledge of the community, as well as their experience in food halls to The Galley,” Galley Group CEO Chad Ellingboe said in a press release.
Los Tacos Hermanos
This taco restaurant was founded by Filipino immigrant Mapi De Veyra, one of the creators behind DOPE! Asian Street Fare and Decibel Korean Fried Chicken. Los Tacos Hermanos’ menu will feature West Coast street tacos flare along with burritos, tortas, appetizers and sides like carne asada fries.
Four Mile Pig
Robert Viox founded this barbeque restaurant after retiring as VP of Food and Beverage for Jack Cleveland Casino in 2019. With four locations in Kentucky and Ohio, Viox and Chef Jarrod Ante thought Galley on the Levee was a good opportunity to expand their brand in Northern Kentucky. Four Mile Pig’s menu features smoked meats, wings, handcrafted sides, Italian beef sandwiches, burgers and six sauces bottled in-house.
Zaria Italian Street Eats
Another restaurant created by the Viox and Ante duo, Zaria aims to deliver hearty and healthy Italian cuisine. Named for Viox’s eldest granddaughter, Zaria’s menu will feature gluten-free options, hand-rolled piadas and pasta bowls made from fresh, local ingredients.
Galley Group, the Pittsburgh-based company behind the food hall concept, accelerates aspiring chefs and restaurateurs looking to execute a chef-driven concept with minimal upfront costs.
Besides the upcoming Newport location, Galley operates food halls in Pittsburgh and Minneapolis. Their Newport location will fill a vacant 7,900-square-foot space adjacent to the development’s Central Plaza.
