Covington Schools internal reading, English language assessments show uneven progress
Covington Independent Public Schools has seen gradual improvement in reading assessments for grades K-6, although progress among 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students is comparatively slow. The district also saw a slight decline in the number of students exiting the English language learning program, although this may be due to influx of newcomers with little education.
