The Northern Kentucky women continue to see solid play offensively, but have had their fair share of miscues on the defensive end.
Host Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis shot a blistering 57% from the field on their way to a 96-81 victory over the Norse. NKU remains winless in Horizon League play at 0-6 and 2-13 overall with its seventh straight loss.
Freshman center Carter McCray put up another double-double for the Norse with 25 points and 13 rebounds. Macey Blevins followed with 22 points with Kailee Davis and Kennedy Igo following with 11 and nine points, respectively.
The Jaguars (4-12, 2-5) saw the five starters score at least eight points. Katie Davidson led the way scoring 27 points with Abby Wolterman, Tahlia Walton and Jazmyn Turner scoring 16, 15 and 14, respectively.
The Norse once again fell behind early. They trailed 19-8 after one and 37-21 at halftime. IUPUI extended it to 70-51 entering the fourth quarter. The Norse fought back in the fourth to win the quarter, but the margin was just too much to overcome.
NKU hosts Robert Morris on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
