The 10th Region Girls Basketball Coaches Association has released their All-Region teams.
Several from Northern Kentucky made the three teams and honorable mention while Campbell County’s Davey Johnson was named the 10th Region Coach of the Year.
Here are the teams:
1st Team
Maggie Simons – Junior Guard, Nicholas County
Isabella Jayasuriya – Senior Forward, Campbell County
Kennedy Stamper – Junior Guard, George Rogers Clark
Addison Terry – Senior Guard, Montgomery County
Kylie Smith – Sophomore Guard, Bishop Brossart
Jayasuriya and Smith have been the unquestioned leaders of their teams and their high amount of success this season. Jayasuriya has helped lead the Camels to a 20-5 record and 5-0 in region play. She leads the team with 15.8 points and 9.9 rebounds per contest. The senior has knocked down 50 three-pointers and made 77.8% of her free throw attempts.
Smith has helped the Lady ‘Stangs to a 24-6 record while going 7-2 in region competition. She leads the team in scoring with 18.1 points per game and pulls down 6.1 rebounds a contest. The sophomore has knocked down 76.5% of her free throw attempts and shoots 48.6% from the field.
2nd Team
Teigh Yeast – Senior Guard, George Rogers Clark
Lilly Ashcraft – Senior Guard, Pendleton County
Amirah Reed – Senior Guard, Mason County
Noelle Price – Sophomore Guard, Scott
Kailey Sharp – Sophomore Guard, Bracken County
Price is third in the region in scoring with 19.4 points per game. She’s knocked down a team-high 58 three-pointers and 120 free throws this season. The sophomore is also pulling down 4.2 rebounds a contest and has received a Division I offer from Bellarmine.
3rd Team
Lillian Klee – Senior Forward, Saint Patrick
Molly Mason – Junior Forward, Paris
Elaine Purvis – Junior Guard, Montgomery County
Baylee Warner – Junior Forward, Montgomery County
Kendall Augsback – Sophomore Guard, Campbell County
Augsback is the second leading scorer for the Camels at 10.5 points per game. She’s drained 31 three-pointers on the season and hits 73.7% of her free throws.

Davey Johnson, Campbell County
Johnson has guided Campbell to a 20-5 record, including a perfect 5-0 in region play and an undefeated mark in district play. The Camels are ranked No. 10 in the latest Elite 16 statewide media poll. In his four seasons at Campbell County, Johnson has collected 70 wins.
