When Dan Sullivan brought his Ludlow team to Claryville for a matchup with Campbell County, it also brought back a flood of memories as the Camels honored their 2001 region championship team that was coached by Sullivan.

The team was recognized as alumni came in for the game. It broke a 41-year region title drought when they won the 10th Region title. Since then, the Camels have claimed five region titles, most recently in 2023.

With Miami (Ohio) off to its best start in program history at 13-0, it comes with some tough news as leading scorer Evan Ipsaro will be out for the season with a torn ACL.

Ipsaro got injured in the Redhawks victory over Ball State on Saturday and the torn ACL was confirmed on Sunday. He’s scheduled to have surgery on Tuesday and should be back by the start of the 2026-27 season. In Ipsaro’s first 11 games with the Redhawks, he was averaging a team high 13.9 points per game on 57% shooting from the field.

NewCath with a pair of last second winners
