COVINGTON, Ky. – Accessing top talent is a goal for businesses nationwide – and the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce (NKY Chamber) is focused on helping local employers stay informed and engaged via policy-driven conversation at its next Government Forum.
Government Forum: Policy & the Talent Pipeline – What Employers Need to Know will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at Embassy Suites by Hilton (10 E. Rivercenter Blvd., Covington, KY 41011). The event will explore how decisions in Frankfort and Washington, D.C., are shaping workforce development, the pipelines on which employers and workers alike rely, and how the NKY Chamber represents businesses when engaging with lawmakers. Attendees will learn about the progress being made to ensure policy solutions align with today’s workforce needs, leaders’ priorities, and opportunities, and how our advocacy influences those outcomes.
A trio of workforce leaders will serve as the event’s featured speakers: Jamie Link, Secretary of the Kentucky Education and Labor Cabinet; Jeran Culina, Senior Manager with Business Leaders United at the National Skills Coalition; and Correy Eimer, Associate Director of Workforce Development with the Northern Kentucky Area Development District. Nancy Spivey, Vice President of Talent Strategies at the NKY Chamber, will moderate the discussion.
“This conversation comes at a pivotal time for our business community,” said Tami Wilson, NKY Chamber Vice President of Government Relations and Business Advocacy. “It’s one thing to know efforts are underway to strengthen our local economy; it’s another to understand exactly what’s being done, why it matters, and how it impacts our region. As federal activity continues to drive change, and as attracting, retaining, and developing top talent remains a priority for our region, we are excited to provide our members this unique opportunity to ask questions, engage directly with experts, and stay informed.”
Government Forum tickets are $35 for NKY Chamber members, $45 for future members, and $30 for NKYP participants. Registration is free with an NKYP Event Pass. To register, visit www.nkychamber.com/events.
