This February, Dominion Senior Living Community is inviting local businesses, churches, organizations, and community members to take part in a heartfelt initiative proving that love truly lives here.
The “Love Lives Here” Door Decorating Event pairs community partners with residents to decorate their doors around the theme of love, connection, and belonging. The goal is simple yet powerful: to create meaningful moments, spark relationships, and remind residents that they are seen, valued, and deeply cared for.
“For many of our residents, these small moments of connection mean everything,” said Corrie Silvers, Life Enrichment Director. “This event is about more than decorations. It’s about dignity, joy, and creating memories that matter.”
Participants will work alongside residents to design personalized door displays, transforming hallways into a celebration of creativity, compassion, and community spirit. Photos of the completed doors will be shared on Dominion’s social media pages, where the public will be invited to vote for their favorites. Prizes will be awarded to winning teams.
In addition to bringing joy to residents, the event offers community partners a meaningful way to give back locally while gaining positive visibility among residents, families, staff, and the broader community.
Organizations interested in participating are encouraged to sign up soon, as space is limited.
