Lane closures on the Brent Spence Bridge for drainage clearing will start Tuesday evening, according to a recent announcement from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

“Work will be performed between the hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.,” the announcement said. “Crews will require a single right lane closure on the Brent Spence Bridge north of the Ohio border (191.76 mile point) to the Fifth Street exit in Covington (191.3 mile point), a distance of 0.46 miles. The work will consist of clearing the drains on the bridge to improve safety for motorists.”

A single right lane closure will occur on I-71/I-75 southbound Tuesday night and into the next morning. A single-lane closure on I-71/I-75 northbound will occur on Wednesday and Thursday. The project is expected is be completed by Thursday, weather permitting.

Drivers should expect delays during these hours and plan accordingly.
