The LINK nky Educator of the Week nominees.

At LINK nky, we believe that educators – whether they are teachers or principals, tutors or superintendents – are at the heart of our community’s success. The Educator of the Week contest is our way of recognizing and celebrating the incredible educators who go above and beyond for Northern Kentucky students every day.

By highlighting their dedication, creativity, and impact, we hope to shine a light on the important role educators play in shaping the future—and to give our community a chance to show its appreciation for the people who make a lasting difference in our classrooms.

Each week, we will choose three nominees who have made an impact on their community and who represent a diverse mix of roles, grade levels, subject areas, school types, and geographic locations.

The Educators

Sarah Stienmetz

Educator: Sarah Stienmetz

Role: Teacher at Campbell County Middle School

Nominator: Shelbi Hitch

Why Hitch nominated Stienmetz:

I would like to nominate this teacher for Educator of the Week for consistently holding high expectations for both students and staff while challenging the entire school community to continuously improve. Through thoughtful questioning and reflective practices, this educator pushes others to think deeper and grow. As a lifelong learner, they model curiosity, commitment, and a passion for learning that inspires everyone around them.

Angela Buschle

Educator: Angela Buschle

Role: Special education teacher at Dayton High School

Nominator: Nelleh Buschle

Why Nelleh nominated Angela:

Angie Buschle is currently a special education teacher for Dayton Highschool. She pours everything into her classroom to make sure her students have the best chance for success. Whether it’s making sure her students basic needs are met, training them for success in the work place, or having fun outings in the community, Ms. Buschle makes sure her students are thriving. Every Friday she does “coffee cart” where her students prepare and deliver coffee to the staff in the building. This helps build job skills and provides a way for her students to do something fun that helps out the whole building. Every year she and her students design a budget and go to Dollar Tree so her kids can independently buy gifts for her loved ones. Everything she does is with the intention of making her students lives better, and this is why I believe she deserves to be educator of the week.

Jordan Vice

Educator: Jordan Vice

Role: Teacher at Ft Wright Elementary

Nominator: Jodi Vice

Why Jordan nominated Jodi:

She teaches autistic kids who rarely speak, and she is very patient with them and teaches them how to communicate. She is so caring, loving and patient. She puts her heart and soul into every single day.
