A body found Saturday night near Devou Park is believed to belong to 65-year-old Carol Groves, according to the Covington Police Department.
Groves was reported missing in December.
In response to reports of a body in a wooded area, officers went to the 800 block of Crescent Avenue between I-71/75 and Devou Park at about 7 p.m. Saturday, where they discovered a “badly decomposed body.”
The Investigations Bureau is now responding to the case.
Groves’ cause of death has yet to be determined, and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
