Nationwide protests against President Donald Trump and the policies of the Trump administration occurred on Saturday, March 28, and Northern Kentucky was no exception. There were two demonstrations in the region, one near the Roebling Bridge in Covington and another along Mall Road in Florence.
The Florence demonstration was organized by the Northern Kentucky branch of Indivisible, which had organized a similar protest in October. The Covington demonstration, on the other hand, was independently organized by local residents. An organizer with the Covington demonstration, Anne Mitchell, put the number of participants there at 518. The Florence one was considerably larger; organizers estimated about 1,250 protestors had lined up along Mall Road.
