Perfetti Van Melle Americas Chief Financial Officer Shannon Bobbert will be the featured speaker at an upcoming Northern Kentucky Young Professionals Lunchtime Leader Chat on Thursday, April 16.

The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Perfetti Van Melle’s U.S. headquarters on Van Melle Lane in Florence.

Perfetti Van Melle is a multinational confectionery and gum manufacturer headquartered in Italy and the Netherlands. It is known for producing popular brands including Airheads, Mentos and Trident.

The Lunchtime Leader Chat series is designed to connect professionals with regional business and community leaders who discuss career development, industry experience and leadership insights.

“We look forward to hearing from Shannon, an impactful leader at a company that is making incredible contributions to our region,” NKY Chamber Director of Events Kyle Frizzell said in a news release. “With over two decades of experience at several of our region’s major employers, Shannon will share some of the proven advice and guidance she has acquired throughout her career that attendees can carry forth into their professional lives.”

Bobbert joined Perfetti Van Melle Americas in 2018 as senior director of North America financial planning and analysis and was named chief financial officer in 2023. In her current role, she oversees finance, accounting, legal, regulatory and IT functions across the United States, Canada, Mexico and Latin America.

Before joining Perfetti Van Melle, Bobbert spent more than 15 years at Procter & Gamble, where she held several leadership positions.

Bobbert also serves on the board of United Way of Warren County and is president of The Institute of Internal Auditors Cincinnati.

The event will include networking opportunities and lunch. Registration costs $30 for NKYP members, $35 for NKY Chamber members and $45 for nonmembers and walk-ins. NKYP Event Pass holders can attend at no cost. Registration is required and available through the NKY Chamber website.
