Pet Supplies Plus will open a new 10,000-square-foot store inside the Latonia Commerce Center on Winston Ave.
Pet Supplies Plus offers food and supplies for various pets, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish and other small animals. The Covington store will also feature grooming services, self-serve pet wash stations, curbside pickup and staff assistance for helping customers with large purchases to their vehicles. The Covington store will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Co-owners Jimesh and Piyush Patel plan to host a grand opening event on March 28 and 29 at 4307 Winston Ave. in Covington. Grand opening activities are scheduled across both days and include free self-serve pet washes and $5 dog nail trims with proof of rabies vaccinations. Additional deals include 40% off tropical fish and aquatic plants while supplies last, along with a drawing for three reptile habitat packs. Rewards members will get a $10 reward with a $30 purchase.
On March 28, the store will distribute scratch cards with prizes and discounts, host a children’s coloring contest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and offer prize wheel giveaways.
The next day, the first 100 customers will receive a free small bag of dog or cat food, limited to one per household. Free “pup cups” and additional prize wheel giveaways will also be available while supplies last.
Customers can text “GRAND” to 72629 to receive a 10% discount on their first purchase. The store is also promoting a giveaway for $250, $100 or $50 gift cards, which customers can enter by texting “covington” to 34653.
