The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties.
The watch went into effect around 6:20 a.m. on March 11 and expires at noon.

Tornadoes are possible in and near the watch area. The National Weather Service advises people living and working in counties under the watch to be prepared by reviewing and discussing emergency plans, taking inventory of supplies and identifying a safe room in case a tornado warning is issued.
All three counties are also under a wind advisory, which went into effect at 8 a.m. and will last until 7 p.m.
The watch and advisory also extend into most of the Greater Cincinnati area, including Dearborn, Hamilton, Butler, Warren and Clermont counties, according to the National Weather Service.
