The weekend’s snowfall is beginning to wind down, but cold temperatures are expected to persist throughout next week, according to the National Weather Service.
The winter storm warning is still in effect until noon Monday. The National Weather service is forecasting between two and four inches of additional snow accumulation between Sunday afternoon and noon Monday. Wind chills temperatures of at least -15 degrees are predicted to take hold Monday night and into Tuesday morning.

Time outdoors generally should be limited, and travel is not recommended. Level 2 snow emergencies are still in effect for Boone, Campbell and Kenton Counties. Many cities have also declared snow emergencies; check your city’s website and social media pages to see if it has declared an emergency. Dressing in multiple layers of clothing is recommended.
[2:20 PM UPDATE] Although snow rates are briefly becoming very light, the back edge of the system has NOT YET arrived. Steadier/heavier snow will move back in locally between 4 PM and 7 PM.
