Ryan Salzman, who formerly served as a project director for the OneNKY Alliance, has joined the Kentucky Nonprofit Network as the new director of regional advocacy & engagement for Northern Kentucky. Salzman has a doctorate in political science and formerly worked as a professor at NKU, in addition to his role at the OneNKY Alliance.
The Kentucky Nonprofit Network is a state association of nonprofit organizations. In his new role, Salzman will be responsible for coordinating with member nonprofits and advocating for their interests at a regional level.
“I believe I have an educator’s spirit,” Salzman said in a press release. “In many ways, advocacy is education. Now I have an opportunity to learn from nonprofit leaders to help educate policymakers as they do their important work to elevate their communities.”
“Ryan’s engagement of organizations in Northern Kentucky will build on successful efforts in Lexington, Louisville and Southeastern Kentucky,” said Danielle Clore, CEO of Kentucky Nonprofit Network, in the same release. “His relationships, policy expertise, leadership skills and commitment to strong Northern Kentucky communities will help ensure nonprofits can stand together to effectively advocate for their work, the people and communities they serve and the jobs and economic impact they generate across the region.”
