Several NKY jurisdictions have declared level 1 snow emergencies ahead of this weekend’s winter weather forecast. Roads become hazardous during level 1 emergencies (levels 2 and 3 are more severe) and cautious driving is advised. Vehicles should also be moved off of public roads to make room for snow plows.

- Boone County beginning 10 p.m. Thursday
- Campbell County beginning 10 p.m. Thursday
- Kenton County beginning 10 p.m. Thursday
- Independence beginning 10 p.m. Thursday
- Taylor Mill beginning 5 p.m. Thursday
