The Kenton County Public Library is hosting an Entrepreneur & Small Business Day, an event aimed at providing education, resources, and networking opportunities for local entrepreneurs and small business owners.

The event will take place on Sept. 17 at the Erlanger Branch of the Kenton County Public Library, located at 401 Kenton Lands Road.

The morning session, part of the library’s weekly Northern Kentucky Accountability Group meeting, features a panel discussion titled “Tired of Looking for a Job? Start Your Own Business!” where local founders will discuss their experiences and challenges.

The NKYAG program begins at 9:15 a.m. with networking, followed at 9:30 a.m. by the founders panel moderated by John Schlipp and Patricia Borne. Panelists include Christine Bell of Factional COO, Jessica Morris of RYTT Solutions, Nick Kowalski of Kowalski Law and Jasmine Lewis of Organizational Change Management Consulting.

From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., attendees can participate in networking tables hosted by the group. A break will take place from 11:30 a.m. to noon, with guests encouraged to visit the library’s STREAM Center for business resources.

The afternoon program, “From Idea to Asset—Navigating Intellectual Property for Your Business,” begins at noon with lunch for registered attendees. At 1 p.m., Schlipp and Jill Morenz of Aviatra Accelerators will moderate an entrepreneur panel featuring Ashley Barrow, founder of the RE-Assist app, Christine Godale, executive director of LifeSciKY, and April Coffee, business coach with SBDC Covington.

At 2 p.m., Marilyn Nash of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office will lead a session on intellectual property. The day concludes with a 3 p.m. presentation by Sean Owens, partner at Wood Herron & Evans.
