7 Brew, a drive-thru coffee shop chain, celebrated the opening of its new Newport location on Carothers Road on Wednesday with a roughly $8,800 donation to the Newport Aquarium WAVE Foundation.
“WAVE Foundation inspires and fosters environmental stewards of aquatic life through education, conservation and volunteerism,” according to the foundation’s website. They officially operate as an independent agency that partners with the Newport Aquarium.
The foundation offers educational events and volunteer opportunities for people interested in aquatic conservation.
The coffee chain currently has 17 locations throughout the commonwealth, including its Newport location. The Newport location is the only location in Northern Kentucky. Two more locations are being planned for Florence.
