CTI Clinical Trial & Consulting Services, a medical research provider in Covington, announced the appointment of a new chief medical officer this week: Dr. Monica Ravindra Shah.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Monica Shah as CTI’s new Chief Medical Officer,” said Tim Schroeder, CEO and chairman of CTI in a press release. “Dr. Shah’s extensive expertise in clinical research and passion for moving medicine forward will significantly bolster our commitment to innovation and excellence in healthcare.”
Shah brings nearly two decades of experience in cell and gene therapy, cardiovascular disease and rare disease to her role at CTI. She earned her MD from Brown Medical School. She served as a cardiology fellow at Duke University Medical Center and a fellow for advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She’s also served in leadership and advisory roles at various medical institutions in both the private and public sector, including the National Institutes of Health, IQVIA (a private medical research firm) and Rocket Pharmaceuticals.
“Her leadership will be instrumental as we continue to deliver impactful solutions to our clients and patients they serve,” Schroeder also said.
