Bill Butler, a well-known local developer, will receive an honorary doctorate in education from Northern Kentucky University this Sunday, according to a recent announcement from the school’s social media pages.
“Mr. Butler has dedicated his career to the prosperity of Northern Kentucky and advocated for higher education through his philanthropy, displaying a vision that begins with the talented minds that will grow to shape the future of this region,” the announcement reads.
Butler is the founder, CEO and chairman of Corporex, a development company behind roughly $8 billion in facility construction throughout the United States. The company was founded in 1965.
