Kenton County residents can drop off difficult-to-recycle items, including appliances and electronics, at select locations on April 12 and April 13. Kenton County Public Works’ Solid Waste Management Office will collect dropped-off items. Proof residency is required.
Residents can drop-off the following items:
- Appliances (there is a $25 fee for Freon-containing appliances) Â Â
- FurnitureÂ
- Yard debris
- All electronics (anything with a power cord, limited to 1 TV per vehicle)
- Vehicle and rechargeable batteriesÂ
- 20lb. propane tanks (grill tank)Â
- Lawn equipment, (all fluids (Oil/Gas) MUST be removed)Â
- Scrap metal
- Tires are accepted (10 max per residential address)
The following items will NOT be accepted:
- Hazardous materials
- Pesticides
- Paint/stain
- Liquid waste
- Fire extinguishers
- Tanks/cylinders
- Oil and antifreeze
- Fluorescent bulbs
- Shingles
- Concrete, brick, or dirt. Â
- Junk vehicles (including boats)Â
