After a two-year hiatus, Turfway Park Racing & Gaming is welcoming back live racing Wednesday, with the first post time scheduled for 6:15 p.m.
“We look forward to welcoming back our racing fans, who have made many memories at the historic Turfway Park,” Turfway President Michael Taylor said. “We cannot wait for them to join us for our first Legacy Night experience and to start creating new memories.”
The Florence gaming and entertainment venue has 800 historical racing machines, along with Vegas-style games.
Wednesday kicks off the 19-day Holiday Meet, which covers a five-week stretch with live racing Wednesdays through Saturdays until Dec. 31. Racing starts at 6:15 Wednesday through Friday and 12:45 on Saturdays.
To celebrate the return of live racing, Turfway will host Legacy Night from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2. The event includes $1 drafts and $1 hot dogs and a performance by the Naked Karate Girls.
