Tom Bernheimer is one of nine candidates for the Lakeside Park City Council. There are six seats on the council. Bernheimer is currently serving his third term on the elected body.
“I would like to continue to serve the city of Lakeside Park for another two years,” Bernheimer said. “I see it as an opportunity to make a difference while serving the residents of our city and working to keep Lakeside Park a progressive, relevant and desirable place to live.”
Bernheimer is retired now, but he formerly worked in various management positions at The Cincinnati Enquirer. He has a B.A. in business marketing and management.
“I am for open and transparent government!” Bernheimer said. “I believe in fiscal responsibility. I strongly believe in being proactive rather than reactive. Planning is critically important to our positive growth and financial security, and for the long-term future of our community. I consider myself to be a progressive thinker, yet I am fiscally conservative, especially with other people’s money.”
Bernheimer pointed to the successful defeat of a proposed ordinance from last year that would have allowed backyard chickens as one of his key accomplishments while in office.
“I will do my best to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to make their voices heard,” Bernheimer said. “ make it a priority to listen to resident’s concerns and will always continue to do so. I will consistently do my best to represent your values and your interests.”
