Shauna Kruse said she is seeking reelection to the Bellevue City Council to continue serving the community and representing residents.

Kruse said she enjoys working through issues with constituents and values the role residents play in identifying problems and helping develop solutions.

Kruse faces Mike Almoslechner, Chasity Bothman, Steve Guidugli, Kara Harp, Tammy Nolan, John “Jack” Ondeck and Charlie Zimmerman in the Nov. 3 general election.

“Bellevue’s residents continually volunteer, provide ‘boots on the ground’ feedback and are part of the solution,” Kruse said.

If reelected, Kruse said one of her first priorities would be addressing data centers in Bellevue’s zoning ordinances. She wants the city to establish language governing data centers before potential proposals come before the city.

Kruse said she also wants to continue Bellevue’s work on pedestrian safety and traffic-calming measures.

Another priority would be placing greater emphasis on Bellevue’s historic district. Kruse said she wants preservation of the district to become a new focus for the city.

More broadly, Kruse said she wants to continue working directly with residents as the city addresses issues and considers future policies.
