Michael Almoslechner said he is seeking reelection to Bellevue City Council to continue improving the city where he grew up, graduated from Bellevue High School and has lived for most of his life.
Almoslechner said infrastructure has been one of his main priorities during his nearly four years on council. He said the city has resurfaced 22 streets, completed curb work and is repairing at least three alleys.

Almoslechner faces Chasity Bothman, Steve Guidugli, Kara Harp, Shauna Kruse, Tammy Nolan, John “Jack” Ondeck and Charlie Zimmerman in the Nov. 3 general election.
“I want to be engaged, thoughtful, creative, positive and accountable,” Almoslechner said. “I will listen, be honest, show up and try.”
Almoslechner said he comes from a family with a history of public service and was taught to give back. Now retired, he considers himself a full-time council member and said he has maintained 100% attendance at monthly council meetings.
If reelected, Almoslechner said he wants to focus on the design and expansion of Bellevue Beach Park with input from residents. He also wants to see the Marianne Theater repurposed into a space the public can use.
Other priorities include improving sidewalks and pedestrian safety, supporting police, firefighters and public services, pursuing economic development and working with small businesses. Almoslechner said he also wants to continue serving as council’s liaison to Bellevue Independent Schools.
Almoslechner said he wants the city to pursue available grants, maintain strong code enforcement and keep taxes as low as possible while providing city services.
