Michele Hogan is running for a seat on the Crescent Springs City Council.
Crescent Springs is a city in northern Kenton County with a population of 4,319 residents, according to the 2020 U.S. Census. The city is located southwest of Covington, near Villa Hills, Fort Mitchell and Crestview Hills.
Buttermilk Pike serves as a major thoroughfare through Crescent Springs, connecting the city to Interstate 75 and neighboring communities. Its location along the interstate has helped attract a mix of retail businesses, restaurants and big-box stores.
Crescent Springs also functions as a bedroom community, with many residents commuting to jobs in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky’s more urban areas before returning home to the city.
Crescent Springs operates under a mayor-council form of government. The city council consists of six members elected at-large to two-year terms, with all six seats up for election in 2026.
The current council consists of Mark Wurtenberger, Carol McGowan, Bob Mueller, Jeff Smith, Don Kiely and Jeannine Bell Smith. Mike Daugherty serves as mayor.
The council oversees municipal matters, including the city’s budget, roads and infrastructure, public safety and other city services.
LINK nky contacted Hogan with questions about her background, priorities and reasons for seeking office but did not receive a response before publication.
