Leon emphasized on his website that border security is a national responsibility. He did say he supports the removal of people who are in the country unlawfully, but that those with verified asylum claims should have access to a lawful pathway to citizenship.
Leon said on his website that he wants to protect parents’ abilities to make decisions for their own children when it comes to education. He also advocates for bringing back community mental health clinics.
