Edward “Eddy” Henry is one of 10 candidates running for a seat on Elsmere‘s six-member city council.

Henry has spent much of his career as a towing and transportation professional and said that he was running “because I believe working people deserve a voice at City Hall.”

“I know what it’s like to live on a budget, pay taxes, raise a family and worry about making ends meet,” Henry said. “Too often, decisions are made by people who have never worked the kinds of jobs many residents do every day.”

If elected, Henry said, he would work to ensure that the city government focuses “on the basics: public safety, infrastructure and responsible spending.”

He advocated that the maintenance and delivery of current city services, including first responders, should be addressed before “we talk about new projects or new spending.”

“I will always be honest with residents, accessible to the community and willing to hear different viewpoints,” Henry said. “Whether someone agrees with me or not, they’ll know where I stand and that I’m focused on doing what’s best for Elsmere’s residents—especially the working families who keep our community running.”
