Dave Seeger is looking to bring his background in information technology to Crescent Springs City Council.

A lifelong Kentucky resident, Seeger has spent more than 15 years leading information technology projects and teams. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky and a master’s degree from Northern Kentucky University.

Outside of work, Seeger has volunteered with the Cincinnati Museum Center, Villa Madonna Academy and Disabled American Veterans.

“Leadership for the city is about listening to its citizens, both residential and commercial, and providing thoughtful decisions that make common sense for all,” Seeger told LINK nky. “As a city councilman, I want to be available for thoughtful discussions throughout the year to help plan Crescent Springs’ future.”

Seeger said he decided to run because he wants to bring a new voice to council, particularly on financial transparency and the use of technology by city government.

If elected, Seeger said he would push to make the city’s annual audits easily accessible to residents. He also wants Crescent Springs to prohibit the use of Flock cameras and other automated license plate readers, citing concerns about residents’ privacy.

Seeger sees managing growth and its effect on city finances as another issue facing Crescent Springs. With new residential and commercial development underway, he said the city needs to balance that growth with the costs residents are being asked to pay for local government services.

Seeger also said he would emphasize what he considers sustainable growth and appropriate taxation while seeking input from both residents and businesses before making decisions.
