Cole Cuzick, a Republican from Erlanger, announced this week that he had filed with the Boone County clerk’s office to run as representative of District 63 in Kentucky’s House of Representatives.

Candidate filing records with the state didn’t show they had received his papers at the time of this brief’s publication; however, Cuzick has filed a statement of spending intent with the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance and sent photos of himself filing out candidacy papers to LINK nky.

A former aide to Congressman Thomas Massie, Cuzick’s website states he’s fighting for “limited government, constitutional rights and the sanctity of life.”

“I am running to represent Kentucky’s families by cutting taxes, defending our constitutional rights and championing the conservative family values that my voters deeply care about,” said Cuzick in a press release. “I’m committed to delivering real results for my community.”

District 63’s seat is currently occupied by Kim Banta, a Republican from Fort Mitchell. State records indicate that Banta filed her candidacy papers on Nov. 19. Banta has served in the seat since 2019.
