Clive the alien, a public art installation, was hung in Covington’s Midtown Parking Garage, located at the intersection of 5th and Scott Streets, on Wednesday.
Produced by local business AlloyFX and made of Styrofoam and fiberglass, “Clive is one of a dozen unique art installations that are part of the City’s Quality of Place grant program,” an announcement on the city’s Facebook page said.
“The program aims to enhance the appearance of Covington’s business districts through public art and other creative elements on fixtures like benches and bike racks. MeetNKY partnered with AlloyFX to provide additional funding to bring Clive to The Cov.”

The installation itself is only partly finished. The concepts for the project were unveiled in September in conjunction with Mutual UFO Networks annual symposium, which occurred at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center.
