Industrial foam manufacturer Zotefoams completed a $13.8 million expansion at its headquarters in Walton.
The expansion enabled the existing facility at 55 Precision Dr. to become a full end-to-end manufacturing facility, meaning the entire production process for its foam products can be completed in Walton under one roof.
The expansion also allows for the addition of a low-pressure autoclave and washer line. An additional extrusion line is expected to become operational this month, adding two new jobs at the location and representing another $2.8 million in capital investment.
Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman, who attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Walton facility on Wednesday, July 8, congratulated the company’s leaders on the project’s completion.
“The manufacturing industry is a crucial part of Kentucky’s economy and one of the state’s largest employers,” Coleman said in a news release. “I am thrilled to join Zotefoams to cut the ribbon on their recent expansion, which will set them up for future success and create quality jobs for Kentuckians. Congratulations to Zotefoams and the Northern Kentucky community on this wonderful milestone.”
The expansion was supported by the Bluegrass State Skills Corp., a program within the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development that offers incentives to support Kentucky businesses’ efforts to help new and existing workers remain competitive through employer-driven skills training.
Zotefoams’ clients include global companies such as Boeing, Nike and Airbus. Its materials are used across the aerospace, automotive, defense, medical and packaging industries.
