First Brands Group is permanently shutting down its FRAM facility in Hebron, resulting in the loss of 76 jobs.
On Feb. 23, First Brands submitted a letter to Kentucky’s Rapid Response Dislocated Worker Unit, announcing that it would close its facility at 1100 Worldwide Blvd. in Hebron. Layoffs began on Feb. 23, with the final layoff and facility closure occurring on April 30.
Most of the employees impacted by the layoffs were material handlers or warehouse workers, according to the letter.
First Brands Group is an international automotive parts manufacturer based in Cleveland. The company offers a range of aftermarket and OEM products, including oil and air filters, brake components, ignition parts and other vehicle systems, with brands such as FRAM, TRICO and Raybestos.
