Rebecca Goldrich and Andrea Lawrence wanted to bring their love of health and wellness to the Northern Kentucky community through their joint business venture, Elite MedSpa.

Located inside the Union Promenade development in Boone County, Elite MedSpa offers laser facials, laser skin tightening, chemical peels, vegan spray tans, IV drips, and microneedling, among other services.

“For us, if we just look at your face as a canvas, we want to get that as great as possible so that you look so much more natural,” Goldrich said.

Both women discovered their enthusiasm for health and wellness through previous careers in healthcare. Goldrich worked as an operations manager for a variety of private practices throughout Northern Kentucky, while Lawrence has been a nurse for nearly 18 years.

Goldrich told LINK nky that she wanted the staff to have clinical acumen. Elite MedSpa employs multiple a physician, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and estheticians.

Another critical aspect of Elite MedSpa is its heavy investment in technology, which Goldrich and Lawrence said helps their business stand out from the competition. According to Lawrence, Elite MedSpa is currently the only spa within a 150-mile radius with a Cartessa Aesthetics Glimpse machine.

The device is an LED light skin analyzer that uses an artificial intelligence prediction tool to simulate the progression of someone’s skin over time. The machine can uncover hidden brown spots and wrinkles that might appear without intervention.

Goldrich wanted the business to use machines that can provide care to people of all skin types and ethnicities, or what she calls skinclusive care. As a Hispanic woman, Goldrich explained she had past negative experiences when undergoing treatments because certain machines could not treat her skin type.

“Historically, I could not get the treatments that I would have loved because of my skin type,” she said. “They would either have to turn down the settings that I got no results, or if they kept it where they needed to be, I would burn and scar and still not get the results I needed. When opening up this one, we made it a priority.”

Elite MedSpa officially opened to the public on July 11. Lawrence said they hosted a grand opening ceremony where hundreds of people filtered in and out.

The medspa is the only business currently operating out of Union Promenade, a  62-acre mixed-use development located along US 42 in Union. Goldrich and Lawrence admitted that running a business in an otherwise empty building has proved challenging. The business does not have any roadside signage as of yet. Goldrich said neighboring businesses are not expected to open until the start of 2025.

“For us, that has been a struggle for people to know that we’re here, we’re open, we’re glad to take care of you,” Goldrich said. “I believe in this project. I believe in the vision, I believe how it’s all going to turn out, but for for us being the first the first residents, you know, in the business area, it has been a struggle which I didn’t anticipate.”

Since then, the duo has doubled down on marketing, contracting with local firms in Northern Kentucky to build further brand awareness.

Looking forward, Goldrich and Lawrence want to find success by doing something they love: helping people exude confidence.

“I love to be able to help people and make a difference,” Lawrence said. “I really feel like it’s not just beauty on the outside – you have to heal and fix what’s on the inside.”
