In honor of the Covington Business Council’s 50th anniversary, a celebration will be held the week of April 11-17.

CBC Executive Director Pat Frew said the council places a great emphasis on supporting Covington’s food and beverage industry. CBC holds private sessions with industry executives every other month called Food for Thought and advocates on their behalf in legislation, such as the recent effort to reduce fees for alcohol licenses.

“We know without a doubt that Covington is very proud of the rich bar and food industry it has established,” Frew said. “These businesses are housed in historic buildings with eclectic architecture, provide welcoming environments and offer, no pun intended, the unique local flavor and experience that residents and visitors crave.”

April 14  is the anniversary of the Covington Business Council. Celebrate with the city by attending the CBC 50th birthday luncheon. Former executive directors will come together to share the struggles and triumphs throughout the years of CBC and where the organization is headed moving forward.
