A Florence man is in critical condition after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds on Thursday night.
Boone County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a shooting at 5917 Greenscape Drive in Florence around 7:18 p.m.
Deputies found a wounded 38-year-old man, who was then airlifted to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He is now stable but remains in critical condition, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.
Boone County Sheriff’s deputies also found and detained a 38-year-old female, who admitted to being the shooter. The sheriff’s office did not release the identity of the shooter or victim, and no charges are filed at this time.
Though an investigation into the incident is ongoing, detectives have concluded the incident was isolated and there is no active threat to the community.
