Lifelong Campbell County resident, Scott Hildebrand, has announced his candidacy for Campbell County Sheriff in the 2014 election. Scott currently resides in Alexandria with his wife, Michelle and 3 daughters.
Scott has been a certified police officer for over 12 years and currently serves the City of Cold Spring. He has also served his community as a Volunteer Fire fighter for both the Alexandria and Southern Campbell Fire Departments.
“I look forward to serving the citizens of Campbell County and bringing a positive light to law enforcement. When I am elected, I hope to have the sheriff’s department more involved in the community. I would also work with the area police departments and try to find a solution to the growing heroin problem in the county,” Hildebrand said.

Hildebrand will face Michael O’Day in the Democrat primary election in May. The winner of Hildebrand/O’Day will face either Mike Jansen or Jeff Kidwell in the general election in November.
