MANAGER AT THE 4TH ST STORE SAYS THAT LOCATION WILL CLOSE ON 5/10, REOPEN AT NEWPORT ON 5/15
T.J. Maxx is the latest retail tenant heading to Newport Pavilion.
Charlie Townsend, principal of Anchor Investment Partners LLC, told Cincinnati Business Courier he’s very happy with the progress of the center since a group of local investors purchased the project in December 2011. Townsend also is the founder of real estate brokerage Anchor Associates, which handles leasing for Newport Pavilion.
“It’s a true regional shopping center as opposed to just a good community shopping center,” Townsend told me Friday at the ICSC Idea Exchange event in Columbus.
T.J. Maxx is currently under construction on the southwest corner of the development, next to the Dick’s store.
In addition to landing another new tenant, Townsend said he plans to upgrade the amenities and look of Newport Pavilion.
“In today’s shopping environment you’ve got to make it a little more enticing, provide a more pleasant shopping experience,” Townsend said.
