George Best is an incumbent candidate for the Lakeside Park City Council. He is one of eight candidates running for a spot on the six-person council. He did not respond to LINK nky’s interview inquiries.
Best was appointed to the council late last year after former City Council Member Cassi Schabell resigned. At the time, Best said, “I just want to keep going the various services we have going now and will have in the future,” when asked about his goals for his time on council.
Best was born and raised in Covington but has lived in Lakeside Park for the last 37 years. He’s retired now but formerly worked as an insurance professional in loss prevention and risk management for about 45 years. He retired last year. He has also served on the Kenton County Joint Code Enforcement Board for about 25 years.
