Jeff Dietrich is an incumbent candidate on the Fort Mitchell City Council. There are eight candidates running for seven spots on the council.
Dietrich is the CFO of carparts.com, an online recycled car parts marketplace based out of Fort Wright. He has a background in finance and accounting; he said, “and fiscal responsibility remains my top priority.”
Dietrich pointed to a handful of challenges on the city’s horizon, including e-bike and scooter regulations, general public safety and various developments in the city.
“With the development of the old Drawbridge site in full swing and the upcoming bridgework getting ready to stress our infrastructure, I anticipate new challenges presenting themselves to our city,” Dietrich said.
Dietrich praised the current city staff and characterized the current dynamic on the city council as cordial.
“Even if people differ on their opinions, people have largely voiced their opinions with respect and their intent is genuinely good,” Dietrich said. “The current council and mayor have been great to work with, and I can’t say enough about the staff that is with the city. Seeing the impact they have on the community and families is very inspiring.”
“I’ve been lucky to raise three daughters in Fort Mitchell and am grateful to the voters for giving me an opportunity to serve them, in continuing to make Fort Mitchell a vibrant and safe community for all ages,” Dietrich concluded.
