The Thomas More Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026 has been announced.
The newest inductees include:
• Donovan Pogue, Class of 2017, baseball – As a senior in 2016, he hit a team-high 11 home runs with seven doubles, 52 runs batted in and another 52 runs scored.
• Tyler “Goose” Cohorn, 2016, football – He is first in career receptions with 172 for 3,175 yards and 35 touchdowns. In 2015, he caught 66 passes for 1,230 yards and 14 scores.

• Chris Willis, 2008, football – First-team All-Presidents Athletic Conference, third team D3football.com All-South Region, first-team Don Hansen’s Football Gazette All-South Region and third-team All-American.
After college, Willis had tryouts with the St. Louis (now Los Angeles) Rams and Baltimore Ravens; he later played three years of Arena League Football with the Lexington Horsemen and Cincinnati Commandos.
• Abby Owings, 2018, women’s basketball – She is second in career scoring with 1,789 points; third in field goals made with 639; second in 3-pointers made with 264; and fourth in assists with 434.
• Jenna Fessler, 2019, women’s volleyball – She is second in career assists with 4,512.
“I’ve played on some really successful teams, and we had a lot of great runs in the four years that I played there, but it’s always just an honor,” Fessler said Monday. “ … Some of my former teammates are in the Hall of Fame.”
• Austin Juniet, 2016, men’s soccer – In three years at Thomas More, he had 29 goals and 31 assists.
• Dr. Abby (Osborne) Hinkle, 2016, women’s soccer – As a junior in 2014, she was named to the United Soccer Coaches first team, and she was part of the Saints team that allowed only four goals and posted 21 shutouts and a 23-2 record.
• Alix (Dedreu) Wess, 2019/2020, softball – She holds the career records in hits (254) in 607 at-bat; she also had 61 doubles, 149 runs batted in, 67 pitching wins with 527 strikeouts and a 1.73 earned run average.
• Donald Albrinck, 1961, men’s basketball – Albrinck played from 1958-61.
• Theresa Behan, athletic training – Behan has been an athletic trainer since 1989. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Ohio State and Master’s from the University of North Dakota.
“The first year I was here, we didn’t have football, and when the football coach came (in 1990), said, “OK, she can work for the first year, but let’s look to have somebody,’” Behan said. “And I got through that first year of football, which was my 2nd year here, I said, ‘You know what? I got through that, so I’m staying’.”
• The 1992 women’s volleyball team, 1992 and 1993 – The Saints reached the NCAA Division III Elite Eight both seasons.
The induction ceremony is scheduled for Oct. 1 at Ziegler Auditorium, Academic Center, 333 Thomas More Parkway. Tickets are $25 per person, and registration ends at 5 p.m. Sept. 26.
Thomas More names new sports information staff
Kate Daugherty is Thomas More’s new sports information director.
Daugherty has been TMU’s assistant SID since January. She has worked at King University, Akron and Malone Univsity.
Aidan Voorhess is the new assistant SID. He was Sports Information Graduate Assistant at Chatham Univesity. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University and a Masters of Business Administration from Chatham.
NKU earns academic award
Northern Kentucky University’s women’s soccer continued its standard academic excellence in the 2025-26 academic year, as the Norse earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award. It marked the 21st consecutive year that the team earned the distinction, and the 24th overall.
The Norse compiled a 3.67 grade-point average.
NKU opens the season at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Austin Peay.
Holmes, Moody honored
NKU men’s golfers Brady Holmes and Isaac Moody earned NCAA Division I Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors for the 2025-26 season.
According to NKU, Moody won for the second time, and Holmes made the list for the first time.
