August is approaching, and it’s kicking off with a weekend full of activities and events.

For those heading to downtown Cincinnati or Covington to any of the festivities set for July 31 through Aug. 2, here’s a look at a few of the many ways to access the fun and navigate around current construction work taking place on the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Project

SOUTHBOUND

Traveling south on I-75 in Ohio, the options to get to downtown Cincinnati include:

  • Freeman Ave (Exit 1F)
  • 7th Street (Exit 1E)
  • 5th Street (Exit 1C)

Continuing south across the Brent Spence Bridge to Covington, use:

  • 5th Street/Crescent Avenue (Exit 192) or
  • Pike Street/12th Street/MLK Jr. Blvd. (Exit 191)

NORTHBOUND

Traveling north on I-71/75 in Kentucky, the best option to Covington is the 5th Street exit (Exit 192).

Continuing north across the Brent Spence Bridge into Cincinnati, motorists may follow:

  • 5th Street (Exit 1C) or
  • U.S. 50/W. 6th Street (Exit 1D) and the Linn Street exit

Motorists can also opt to travel to the east, away from the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor, and take I-71 southbound from the northern suburbs in Ohio or I-275 and I-471 from Northern Kentucky to get to the places and events on both sides of the river.
