A series of free concerts is coming to Ludlow courtesy of an $8,500 grant from ArtsWave.
Dubbed the Ludlow Rail Sessions, the concerts will take place in the fall of 2026 and the spring of 2027 in front of the Ludlow Train Viewing Platform near the entrance to the city.
The event is organized by the nonprofit Infinite Hills Productions and will feature local and regional music acts, vendors and activities from local organizations and businesses. The performer lineup has not been announced, but organizers confirmed an announcement would occur in the near future. All events will have free admission.
“We want to introduce more people to Ludlow and show them the incredible community that exists here,” said Infinite Hills Productions Founder Nathan Thompson. “Ludlow is home to many musicians, artists and other creatives, as well as remarkable local businesses that visitors may not know about. We want to showcase those assets and help position Ludlow as a community worth visiting.”
The series kickoff will take place on Saturday, Aug. 22 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Attendees will be responsible for bringing their own seating. The Ludlow Heritage Museum will also present a new Ludlow Farmers Market adjacent to the Aug. 22 event from noon to 5 p.m.
