The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 6 will share preliminary designs and gather public input on a proposed new connector road between AA Highway and Johns Hill Road in Wilder.

The public input session will be held Thursday, July 16 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Wilder City Building, 520 Licking Pike.

The proposed project would construct approximately 1.5 miles of new roadway, connecting the existing Pooles Creek signal at AA Highway to the southern approach of the roundabout near Johns Hill Road and Norse Boulevard. The new connection is intended to improve access between AA Highway and Northern Kentucky University by providing a safer and more efficient route for all road users.

The meeting will be held as an open house format. No formal presentation provided during the open house. Anyone interested can stop by at any time to review the preliminary design, receive handouts containing project information and fill out comment sheets to provide input. Representatives from KYTC and the engineering design consultant will be in attendance to answer questions.

If unable to attend the open house meeting, KYTC has provided a project webpage that includes more information regarding the overall project.

Can’t attend the meeting? Comments on the project will be accepted through Sunday, Aug. 16, and can be provided via email: kytc.district6info@ky.gov.
