With the world’s most-watched sporting event returning to the United States for the first time since 1994, many businesses in Northern Kentucky are looking to capitalize.
The FIFA World Cup kicks off on June 11. To mark the occasion, Braxton Brewing Co. will host its World Cup Village celebration, a six-week watch party that runs throughout the tournament.
Braxton’s Union location, at 8901 US-42, will be the only Northern Kentucky location to host the World Cup Village.
The event will end on July 19, the day of the World Cup Final.
Designed as a free, all-ages event, World Cup Village pairs every World Cup match with daily watch parties, live entertainment, local vendors, family activities and special beer releases. The event aims to create a festival atmosphere where fans can gather to celebrate the tournament and enjoy food, drinks, music and community experiences.
For the event, Braxton will release a lineup of five limited-edition beers, each inspired by a different region of the world. These specialty brews are crafted using internationally sourced ingredients and are intended to reflect the global nature of the World Cup.
Guests can sample beers ranging from a Mexican-style lager and an English extra special bitter to a South African lager, Japanese rice lager, and a globally inspired IPA, creating a unique beer experience that mirrors the tournament’s international spirit.
In addition, the event will feature live musical performances, craft vendors, World Cup merchandise and interactive games and activities.
